I came across this quote from Theodore Roosevelt while doing some research about leadership.
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”
How true for me. I’ll add….good men and women. My team continues to impress and push my leadership skills to new levels. Together we are growing personally and professionally and it is reflected in our time together and our work.
Most recently, we shared our video documentary called Forward La Crosse. The public reaction and praise for this work is a blog post for some other time. My focus here is what I think is a defining moment for Dinsmoor Strategies.
You may have heard the phrase “when a defining moment comes along, you define the moment or the moment defines you.”
Well we’re there and the path forward looks like this- The crew just raised the bar on our work. Forward La Crosse posed some big challenges and pushed our creative abilities, especially with writing and video production. Our industry continues to evolve quickly with new trends in social media and email marketing and we must evolve just as fast so our clients can capitalize on these trends. AI and other advances in technology aren’t slowing down and will require resources for us to carry out our work.
Increasing human interaction between clients and their customers is gold. Unfortunately, technology often works to bypass face to face contact so any opportunity to foster one on one contact between businesses and customers is valuable. Finally, marketing is in a crisis. There appears to be no end to the pandemic which fuels uncertainty among the business community and consumers.
A lot to think about. Many things are out of our control and some things are in our control. We define the moment, right? The moment doesn’t define us.
